The A1X Four from Zoom is an innovative multi-effects processor specifically engineered for acoustic string and wind instruments, designed to enhance the performance of your acoustic instruments. It features 90 premium effects, including 35 tailored for acoustic instruments, along with an advanced acoustic guitar emulation engine that utilizes specially recorded impulse responses (IRs) to authentically transform your guitar tones. You can utilize and arrange up to five simultaneous 32-bit effects in any sequence across 50 customizable patches. Additionally, it offers 68 rhythm patterns, a chromatic tuner, a programmable onboard expression pedal, and a versatile internal looper capable of storing loops of up to 30 seconds, providing a robust toolkit to unleash your creative potential.

The 1/4″ output merges line amp and headphone outputs, facilitating easy connections to a PA system, guitar amplifier, or high-powered headphones, supporting 17mW per channel into a 32-ohm load. The supplementary USB Micro-B connection allows for pedal powering, MIDI I/O, and connectivity to the complimentary Guitar Lab software for effect or patch creation and editing. Each AG MODEL offers four adjustable parameters (gain, bass, mid, treble) to manage volume and fine-tune the audio output of your modeled sound. Furthermore, you can configure the AG Pickup Selector to correspond with your guitar’s pickup type (piezo or magnetic) and apply a specific EQ modeled after various dedicated processors.

Efficient Connectivity

The A1X Four features a straightforward yet adaptable I/O system capable of accommodating various scenarios without adding bulk to the pedal. It includes a basic 1/4″ line input for easy connection, and a combined 1/4″ line and headphone output that facilitates seamless connectivity to both high-powered studio-grade headphones and amplifiers. Additionally, a supplementary stereo 3.5mm aux input enables music playback from a smart device, allowing for accompaniment or tone matching with tracks prior to recording. The micro-USB port provides the option to connect the pedal to a wall adapter for power when batteries are unnecessary, and it also supports MIDI processing, firmware updates, and connection to Guitar Lab for access to 13 additional modeled acoustic guitar presets, as well as the ability to create and modify effects.
