XILETU XM-263A Overview
The XM-263A Adjustable 18.3″ Aluminum Center Column Extension from Xiletu adds more height to virtually any tripod. It is made of lightweight aluminum and features a standard 3/8″-16 female mounting thread on the base and includes a reversible 3/8″-16 to 1/4″-20 stud. Two twist-lock joints allow the XM-236A to extend from its folded length of 8.5″ to its full length of 18.3″. The 1.8″-wide head platform on the top of the column features a reversible head mounting stud that can accept almost any head or other accessory.

Great extension

I used this to mount my iPhone on a slider where I can dolly in without seeing the tracks. I’ve also used this as a simulated crane where I mount the iPhone on this and pan down. I’ve also mounted this on a monopod tripod to increase the height to get over-the-head shots and high-angle shots. Many uses with this extension and the price is right.
