Secure your DSLR, mirrorless camera, or small camcorder when shooting motion sequences in a car or other vehicle with this durable aluminum Window Mount with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head & Arca-Type Quick Release Plate from Vanguard. The mounting clamp opens to 1.25″ so it can be easily attached to car and truck windows, fences, or tree branches, providing smooth panning and tilting with a camera, camcorder, or spotter scope. The inside of the clamp is lined with rubber padding for a secure grip and to protect the surface from scratching.

The VEO 2 PH-28 head can tilt -60 to +90 and pans a full 360, and it features a bubble level to ensure your camera is balanced and level to the horizon. The mount can support loads up to 8.8 lb and weighs only 1.5 lb. The QS-61P Arca-type quick release plate allows you to mount your camera onto the window-mounted head, it features anti-slip rubber padding to protect your camera, and it is secured using a locking knob. Or, you can use it to transfer your camera onto other Arca-compatible mounts and clamps.

It’s perfect in every way

Vanguard really thought this one through. Every bit of this mount’s design makes complete sense, once you’ve gone through several other mounts from competing companies. It’s not plastic-y feeling. Quite hefty for the size, which is a plus. Being able to pan and tilt with a single turn motion frees up your other hand to do other things, like keeping it on the shutter button of your camera. It’s super easy to operate, the movement is smooth and the height is perfect. The fact that the quick release plate is arca swiss compatible is just the icing on the cake.

A Good, Solid Window Mount

Nothing to complain about here…I wanted something stable I could shoot video out of the vehicle. This Vanguard mount was well priced and looks to be very solid and well made. Video shake is now virtually eliminated even with some longer lenses, so couldn’t be more pleased.

Just what I needed

I needed a sturdy pan head window mount for my Vortex spotting scope that had an Arca compatible quick release with an anti twist screw. This fit the bill perfectly. Appears well made. Tension handle could be a little looser.

I’m not very mobile, so this mount is invaluable. Lets me use my car as a blind, too. It’s a little stiff out of the box, but with use, I’m sure it will loosen up. Love it!

Sturdy and easy to operate

It grips my window tightly with built-in rubber pads. I think the surface area is sufficient to give stability. I like that one handle tightens both horizontal and vertical movement (convenient).
