Designed specifically for the Sony HVL-F60RM and HVL-F60M flash units, the FA-EBA1 External Battery Pack significantly enhances flash recycling times and increases the number of flashes available per session. It employs a battery magazine system that accommodates up to eight AA alkaline or NiMH batteries, yielding approximately 660 flashes per battery set and achieving rapid recycling times of 0.6 seconds. The magazine can also function with just four AA batteries, prioritizing power from the pack to minimize battery drain on the flash. Furthermore, the battery pack is resistant to dust and moisture, making it suitable for adverse weather conditions, and the cable connection points have been reinforced for greater durability.
