Really Right Stuff BEOSR Overview
The Base Plate for Canon EOS R from Really Right Stuff is designed with anti-twist flanges to keep the camera from twisting while mounted on the plate. Once the dovetail plate is on, quick release functionality has been added to the camera. Also, this base plate is compatible with all RRS clamps and most other Arca-type compatible heads.
The CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum plate maintains complete access to the battery door, and the plate has an option for an available L-component that will fit the plate’s modular design and make a custom-fit L-plate. The base plate has a durable Type II anodized finish and a laser-engraved center mark on the back to align it on a tripod head.

Don’t buy RRS Plates

Don’t by RRS plates unless you want to be overcharged. Buy a plate that works will all brands of cameras and/or battery grips. I have 7 RRS plates in a drawer that won’t work on any other camera or battery grip.

Fits well. The two little pins are a very clever way to make it fit. It doesnt get in the way of anything — both the battery door and the tilty-flippy screen can move without any obstruction. Im giving it 4 stars because of value for money — RRS makes good plates, but they are too expensive.

I really enjoy the quick connector that allows me to put on and off a strap in no time. It does not interferewith the screen at all. Fits perfectly on the EOS R. In short, I am a happy customer! The only negative is that I would have liked the ability to attach an L bracket section to the base as they did with the 5d mk4 version.
