Really Right Stuff B2-LLR II CLAMP Overview
This B2-LLR-II Lever-Release Clamp from Really Right Stuff is compatible with most Arca-type camera plates, camera bars, and multi-purpose rails. The jaws of the clamp open wide for plates to be top-loaded quickly and easily.
The locking lever release is opened or closed by only using finger force, and once the clamp is locked down onto the plate, it has a holding power of up to 50 lb. At the top of the clamp it features three counter-sunk sockets. The center socket has female 3/8″-16 threads and it accepts metric 6 and 1/4″-20 threaded screws via a bushing adapter when mounting to a ball head stem. Two additional 1/4″-20 threaded holes are spaced 45mm apart from the center socket.
The CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum clamp has a black anodized Type II finish. Index marks are laser-engraved on both sides of the clamp so a position can be repeated reliably. The stainless-steel locking-lever has a low profile, and the lever hugs the side of the clamp very closely, so it is very unlikely to snag onto clothing or something else in the field. The clamp has a built-in bull’s-eye spirit level, which keeps your camera leveled in a horizontal plane.

Stainless steel lever giving an ultimate clamping force
By Chien Huan Rated 5 out of 5 Date: 2022-03-05
B2-LLR-II with a stainless steel lever has a very strong clamping force more than a screw knob clamp can provide. I buy this RRS lever clamp to fit FLM CB-58 FTR and these two products perfectly match each other without any issues! Before I buy this RRS lever clamp I doubt the clamping force provided by such lever structure. However, once I receive and operate this prouduct, I finally understand that the lever release clamp is far safer and stronger than a screw knob clamp. First, the lever clamp has very clear three orientations of the stainless steel lever explicilty performing locking, half-locking, and releasing operations and it is almost impossible for a user to get conifused whether the camera thereon is half-locked or completed released, which is impossible for a screw knob clamp. Almost all of screw knob clamps have no any indication for a user to tell whether the camera is slidable but still locked or is fully released. Second, the stainless steel lever set by RRS provides super strong clamping force. When pivoting the lever from the half locking state to the completely locking state, I have to output a strenuous effort by my hand to make the lever pivot over a threshold point, and that’s why this lever can only be made of a stainless steel instead of aluminum. I know some simliar lever clamps have the lever made of aluminum, but I would rather use RRS’s stainless steel lever because it guarantees the ultra clamping force can be outputted stably by the stainless steel lever without chances of damaging the lever. On the contrary, although a well built conventional screw knob clamp can also output an excellent force based on its reliable structrue, a user’s fingers probably can barely output a desirable screwing force to the screw knob. Therefore, regarding clamping operation by the samer user, the finally clamping force performed by the screw knob should be less than that by the lever clamp.
RRS lever release clamp, really right choice!

I have an older Induro tripod that is still in good shape and works fine. I was never very happy with the knob release plate that came with the ball head. In colder weather, wearing gloves it was very difficult to use. The RRS replacement works well under all conditions. I wish I would have done this sooner.

It has not happened to me, however to has to my photography friend. I have become aware, that having too many screws on my tripod and ball head ! If I make just one wrong turn on the wrong screw you risk having your camera and lens fall off your set up . This clamp will save your equipment. Why because you must release the lever, too release your equipment from your mounting device. Completely safe and secure with no Knobs to turn. If you value your equipment please purchase this excellent product from RRS. You will be at ease.

Another excellent clamp from RRS. Yes, they are expensive but are very well designed and will not fall apart over time. Something to bear in mind when you attach a pricey long telephoto…
Perfect

Theses are really good for the way I work. I use only cine style tripods and together with the RRS brackets is the best way to swap between portrait and landscape mode.
