The sturdy, multi-featured CFT-6394 Skysill 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod from Oben delivers rock-solid support for cameras. It sets up quickly and offers a variety of options that are ideal for studio or location photography. This lightweight and durable carbon fiber tripod supports up to 39 lb, and it features twist locks that quickly and effortlessly adjust its height up to 71.7″ with the 12″ center column fully extended. The center column is removable and reversible for shooting from an inverted perspective for macro photography, and a secondary short column is included for lowing the camera height for dramatic low-angle perspective composition.

Each leg can be positioned independently at three locking angles, for shooting from lower perspectives or for leveling when on uneven terrain. A built-in bubble level helps keep the tripod aligned with the horizon, and interchangeable rubber or spiked feet provide traction on nearly any surface.

The CFT-6394 tripod features a 3/8″-16 accessory socket for attaching accessories like an articulating accessory arm to add an LED light, microphone, monitor, or flash to the tripod setup. The socket has an anti-twist design that works with any standard male 3/8″-16 threaded tip, but articulating arms featuring a similar anti-twist design are recommended.

Carbon Fiber 4-Section Tripod The lightweight and durable carbon fiber tripod features 4-section telescoping legs secured by ergonomic twist locks. Three Locking Leg Positions The legs can be set and locked at angles of 25, 55, or 80 for stable support at low angles on uneven terrain. Reversible Center Column The 12″ rapid center column is secured by a locking collar for easy height adjustment. It is removable and reversible for low-perspective shooting and features a ballast hook for increased steadiness. Short Center Column An interchangeable short center column allows the legs to be spread low to the floor for dramatic low-angle shots. Interchangeable Feet The tripod’s rubber feet prevent slipping on hard and highly polished surfaces, like a gym floor. The included spiked feet may be exchanged for solid footing on soft terrain and ice. 3/8″-16 Accessory Socket An integrated 3/8″-16 accessory socket for attaching an accessory arm permits adding accessories like LED lights, microphones, monitors, or flashes to the tripod leg mount. Very sturdy and will handle more weight than I’ll ever put on it. Carbon fiber makes it lightweight as compared to aluminum. I recommend this for a budget tripod.

Amazing tripod

Very steady and firm. I have an Manfrotto aluminum tripod and it shakes but the carbon fiber is very firm. I used it in Orlando wedding it is amazing.

Sturdy tripod for the price

Sturdy tripod. Significantly more robust than the Davis & Sanford Traverse TR684C-36 I currently use. Some data not listed in the specs: Weighs in at 2380 grams (5lb 4oz) with rubber feet, center column and no head. Upper leg section is 35mm in diameter. Center column diameter is 28mm. Top of mounting plate at all possible leg extensions (center column retracted) is 23, 34.5, 48, and 62.75 inches. Max height with column extended is 72 inches.

I ned to make piano-teaching videos from the overhead perspective. Watchers can see the notes being played and the fingering I use. I film with my phone, my tablet, and my compact bridge camera. They all work nicely with this pod when it is sitting atop the grand or behind the digital piano.

I already own a 4-section Tripod, but it is so extremely cumbersome to use. It used to take minutes of frustration just to get the center column inverted. Now I can do it all is seconds! The build quality of the Oben Skysill 4-section Tripod is solid yet light and extremely stable even with my Canon Mark IV with a 70-200mm Lens! I do a lot of macro photography, and this is now my go-to tripod! [I received this item in exchange for my honest opinion]

Seems Like a WorkHorse

I am a commercial Photog and work in studio every day. I bought these legs to replace another tripod that had worn out. So far, after a few days of use, this pod is performing very well. Nicely built and has a rugged feel. Easy to adjust legs and center support make life easier. Snap locks snap firmly into place and seem to be built to last. Attaching my existing ball head took only a few minutes. I expect to enjoy many years of use from this sturdy pod.
