Description
An reliable companion for your creative endeavors, the Nikon Z5 IIenhances its predecessor by featuring faster processing capabilities, advanced subject recognition autofocus, and superior low-light performance. It includes a new color preset button, an exceptionally bright viewfinder, and convenient sharing options, making it an ideal choice for creators in pursuit of full-frame photography.
24.5MP FX Sensor & EXPEED 7 Image Processor
The 24.5MP BSI CMOS sensor, designed in a full-frame FX format, is integrated with an EXPEED 7 image processor, offering a versatile blend of enhanced sensitivity, refined image quality, rapid AI-driven autofocus, and the capability for continuous shooting at full resolution up to 30 frames per second. With a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-64000, this system is adept at handling a wide variety of lighting situations, and it can be further extended to ISO 50-204800 for challenging lighting environments. The synergy between the sensor’s resolution and size also ensures high-quality images with smooth color gradients and minimized noise across the entire sensitivity spectrum.
Autofocus You Can Trust
Leveraging advanced algorithms and deep learning technology derived from the Z9, the Z5 II is equipped with sophisticated Subject Detection capabilities for nine distinct subject categories. This allows it to identify a wide array of subjects, including humans, animals, airplanes, and bicycles. Additionally, it includes a highly regarded Bird Detection mode. In Auto-Area AF mode, the camera automatically detects, focuses on, and tracks these subjects, ensuring they remain sharply in focus even as they move across the frame.
UHD 4K Video Recording
The Z5 II is not only proficient in capturing still images but has also enhanced its video recording capabilities. It now supports UHD 4K video recording at frame rates of up to 60 fps and Full HD recording at up to 120 fps, with a maximum recording duration of two hours. Additional features include a video self-timer, built-in electronic Vibration Reduction, and the option to save video files either to the camera’s memory cards or to an external recorder via HDMI output. Furthermore, the camera allows for in-camera time-lapse shooting, enabling users to create a finished UHD 4K video file directly from the device.
Sensor-Shift Vibration Reduction
The body features a 5-axis sensor-shift Vibration Reduction (VR) system that provides stabilization equivalent to five stops, irrespective of the lens being utilized. When paired with compatible lenses, stabilization can be enhanced to as much as 7.5 stops. Additionally, for video recording, Electronic VR is incorporated to ensure smooth footage during handheld shooting.
Color Control for Creators
Nikon has introduced a Picture Control button on the Z5 II, allowing users to easily access its 31 built-in presets, even when in Auto mode. The color presets can now be displayed on the rear LCD screen, enabling you to see the color changes in real-time as you create. Additionally, Creator Recipes developed by other Nikon users can be accessed via the Nikon Imaging Cloud, allowing for easy downloading and integration with the existing presets.
