Nalpak TP-0926L Overview
The Nalpak TP-0928L Tuffpak Hard Tripod Case with Lock (Black) is a 9″ octagonal case that will snugly hold a tripod with a length of 28-33″ and up to a 100mm ball head. Each case is made from rotationally molded cross-linked polyethylene. The process takes nearly 45 minutes per case and produces a durable tripod case. The tripod case comes with 2″ of foam in the lid and the base to protect the equipment. The foam in the lid is glued in and the foam in the base (which is protected from the feet of the tripod by a plastic disk) is held in place by detents that are molded into the base of each case. The case is carried by a molded-in handle.
Tamper-proof, recessed tubular steel key lock, manufactured by Chicago Lock is individually keyed for maximum security. Two keys are shipped with the case. A quarter turn of the key pivots a cam inside the case under a steel tab. This is all it takes to lock the Tuffpak. In order to engage the lock, the lid must be fully closed.
