Offering a wide-angle perspective ideally suited for landscapes, architecture, and astrophotography, the 21mm f/1.4 Dragonfly Lens from IRIX is a sophisticated prime lens designed for Canon EF-mount cameras. Benefitting the broad angle of view is an advanced optical design that features aspherical, ultra-low dispersion, and high-reflectance optical elements to control various aberrations and distortions, as well as maintain accurate and consistent color. Complementing the optics, this 21mm f/1.4 offers a manual focus design for fine-tuned control and incorporates a unique focus lock to secure the focusing position at any point for consistent, repeatable shooting. The lens is compatible with semi-automatic electronic controls, enabling you to adjust the aperture directly from the camera. Additionally, the lens is also compatible with camera focus confirmation systems allowing you to be assured you set the focus correctly.

The Dragonfly version of the 21mm f/1.4 lens features a reinforced internal structure based on metal elements, an anti-skid focusing ring with a specialized finish, easy-to-see engraved markings filled with UV-reactive paint, and a scratch-resistant lens finish. Compatible with electronic controls (PASM) that enable you to control the aperture directly from the camera. Also provides EXIF data information to facilitate the use of correction profiles in the post-production process. Wide-angle prime designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount DSLRs, this lens can also be used on APS-C models where it provides a 33.6mm equivalent focal length. Two aspherical elements, four ultra-low dispersion glass elements, and four high-reflectance elements are featured within the optical design to limit both spherical and chromatic aberrations, as well as color fringing and distortion, for improved clarity, sharpness, and even illumination. Manual focus design benefitted by a focus lock mechanism to secure your focus position at any point to limit unwanted shifting of focus. Compatible with camera focus confirmation systems so you can be assured you set the focus correctly. Large depth of field scale benefits using hyperfocal and pre-focus techniques. Equipped with special seals that prevent the ingress of moisture and dirt into its interior. Bayonet mount gasket protects the mirror chamber of the camera. Dedicated lens hood reduces unwanted light reflections and protects the front lens element. Rounded eleven-blade diaphragm contributes to smooth bokeh.
