Fujinon lens 33mm F1.4

I bought this lens a week ago. I’m super impressed by this lens. The lens is quick, bokeh is great, and performance in low-light is outstanding. The build and image quality are fantastic. Images are contrast with pleasing colors and no aberration. Autofocus in the XT30 has been near instant. This is a spectacular lens to add to your lens collection.

Wonderful sharpness. Love the bokeh at f1.4 and the focal length.
A surprise

Wow! This is a great lens for the Fuji system. Fast and quiet focus. Sharp and detailed photos from the lens.
Totally satisfied, superb

I am extremely satisfied with this lens. Auto focus speed is brilliant as is the image quality. I also on the 35 mm 1.4, and while that lens is very good and has a character of its own the extrovert resolution and focus speed of this lens really does it for me. F1.4 is a thoroughly useful. You give up essentially nothing quality wise by using that aperture. I recently use this lens along with a couple of other Fuji lenses including the new 18 mm 1.4 very low light live music event. With the longer lenses to have enough shutter speed ISO’s were climbing up in a 10,000 range and having the 1.4 aperture of this lens kept me far lower. The auto focus is so fast and reliable that on the newer Fujifilm bodies the auto focus tracking is very reliable and very accurate and honestly better than I expected. Some people say they don’t see a difference between this lens and the previous 35 mm 1.4 and honestly there is a difference, because they are different. You will not be disappointed with this lines
great lens

I really like this lens. I like it so much that I sold my fuji xf 35mm f2, and 35mm f1.4. This lens paired with my Fuji xt4 is the right balance in my hands not to heavy or to big, takes very sharp pictures, and focus fast and quiet. Just love this lens.
My new Go-to lens

This lens fits perfectly on my XT system. It’s a bit longer than the 35mm f1.4 so you do lose a bit of compactness but the image output is stunning. I pair this with my 16mm and am satisfied.
Gorgeous Lens – Super Crisp with Delicious Bokeh

I’m a recent Fujifilm convert and decided to purchase the 33mm to accompany my 16mm f/1.4 on my X-T4. There was a struggle deciding between this and the beloved 35mm, but ultimately decided to go with the 33mm focal length (to achieve the truest 50mm distance and to take advantage of advances in tech). This is quickly becoming my all-time favorite combo. Beautifully sharp but not overly-clinical, and the bokeh is beautiful.
Improved in every way over the older XF 35mm 1.4
By Jason Rated 5 out of 5 Date: 2022-03-24
Pros: Tact-sharp across the frame, greater contrast, normal 50mm-equivelant focal length, silent focus motor, weather sealing, gorgeous metal construction Cons: Longer in dimension compared to older XF 35mm 1.4, Expensive Camera body: X-E3 Ever since jumping into the X-series system in 2013, my primary lens for almost everything has been the venerable XF 35mm 1.4. I love the normal focal length of a 50mm-equivelant lens for shooting street photography and portraits and so it never seemed to leave my Fujifilm camera body. It was a stellar lens but it had it’s faults, namely a noisy autofocus, soft edges at wide-open and slightly less sharpness in the center than I’d prefer. It was also a bit more telephoto than the 50mm-equivelant lens it was designed to emulate. In-spite of these, I adored that lens until I heard Fujifilm was producing this new XF 1.4 at 33mm. As soon as I read the reviews, I was sold! This lens outperforms the XF 35mm 1.4 in pretty much every way. Even at full-open, it is tact-sharp across the frame and the contrast rendering is improved. The focus motor is very quiet however it doesn’t seem to be any faster at locking a target than the XF 35mm 1.4. The all-metal construction is beautiful to hold and touch, very rugged design and premium which is what I’ve come to expect from Fujifilm. It is longer than the XF 35 and a bit more heavy but not terribly so. The drastically improved optical performance offsets this minor gripe. The price is higher but with all the improvements, it was worth the extra money. Overall, I am very happy with this lens.
