The Adapter forNikon G Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera II from FotodioX allows aNikon G lens to attach to a Sony NEX camera body.Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or “sweet spot” of the larger lens’ image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.

This second generation Nikon G to NEX adapter improves upon the original by enabling the aperture control to work in a click mode or de-clicked mode, adjustment of which can be made while shooting. The de-clicked mode is particularly effective when shooting video for smoother, silent transitions.

Automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions are not supported when using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surfaceprovide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.

The adapter features a built-in aperture control ring to work with the Nikon G lenses. The aperture can be set to a click or de-clicked mode. The de-clicked mode provides a smoother and silent transition which is more desirable when shooting video.
