The EX-EXP Expedition Carbon Fiber Tripod with Monopod from Explorer Photo & Video is a lightweight feature-packed tripod for explorers and adventurous photographers. The large load capacity of up to 35.3 lb ensures high stability in a wide variety of conditions. The 10X layer carbon fiber leg tubes provide rigidity but keep the weight low. The sleek, center-column-free design ensures a small profile for portability, travel, and storage. The EX-EXP features a removable leg that easily converts to a monopod by attaching the ball head. Two 3/8-16″ and 1/4-20″ accessory ports are included on the center junction to mount accessories such as the Explorer Sidekick magic arm, LED lights, microphones, and more.
The 4-section legs extend to create a high maximum working height of 50.4″ and fold to a compact 5.5″, suitable for carrying in a large camera bag or backpack. Three leg angle selections can be made to settle the tripod on uneven terrain and allow for super low-angle shooting from a height of 5.5″ when the legs are splayed out. The included rubber feet and metal spikes allow for ultimate traction on any surface.
The BX-33 ball head has a 360 panning function, and it is smooth and easy to operate. Tension on the ball can be increased to add more control when using heavier lenses. The clamp is Arca type compatible allowing the use of any Arca type plate or L-bracket in addition to the included quick release plate.
