Safely use your DSLR with hot shoe-mounted flash at the pool, in the surf, and underwater with the U-BXP 100 Underwater Housing from Ewa-Marine. This flexible, transparent waterproof enclosure is fitted with a glass lens port that screws onto your 82mm lens filter thread, and it comes with a step-up ring for 77mm threads; smaller lenses can be used with user-provided step-up adapters. Simpler to use and transport than a hard-sided camera housing, the U-BXP 100 employs a corrosion-resistant clamp that seals your camera safely to a depth of 164′. Along with underwater use, the enclosure will protect your camera from rain and dust on dry land, too. It comes with a 1/4″-20 tripod socket and a waterproof cable exit with room for up to four cables up to 4mm in diameter for power, video out, shutter release, etc.

Easy access to virtually all camera controls is provided right through the double-laminated PVC housing body, which is clear to allow you to monitor the watertight seal and maintain a full view of the camera. The U-BXP 100 comes in a handy yellow carrying case with a waterproof interior. Also provided are an initial supply Camera-Dry silica-gel to absorb moisture/condensation, and foam padding that helps create a “reservoir” of air inside the housing, to counter the effect of water pressure.

Waterproofing

Features a depth rating of 164′. Corrosion-resistant clamping rails fit together and are tightened via three screw knobs for a secure watertight seal.

Control Access and Handling

Easy access to virtually all camera controls, including autofocus, is provided right through the thin, flexible housing body. Molded “finger” provides shutter operation.

Compatible Cameras

Has room for most pro-size DSLRs with hot shoe-mounted flash. Measures 11.2″ wide by 8.7″ high, with a maximum 7.3″ from the back of the camera to the lens port.

Construction Details

Has a clear double-laminated PVC body that allows you to monitor the watertight seal and maintain a full view of the camera.

Lens Port

Built-in, optically neutral flat glass port with CR-82 adapter and included RA77-82 step-up ring.

Mounting and Connectivity

Comes with an internal plate for camera bottom with external 1/4″-20 tripod socket and waterproof cable port, which can accommodate up to four 4mm cables.
