Presenting the Aputure STORM 80c, the second addition to our STORM series and the inaugural model equipped with the innovative BLAIR-CG LED chipset. This 80W color-tunable point source fixture boasts a color engine derived from our advanced BLAIR chipset, a Mini ProLock locking Bowens mount, and a compact design. The STORM 80c is a highly versatile fixture, ideal for a wide array of professional imaging tasks, ranging from high-end film productions to small-scale video or photography sessions.

Color Confident

The newly developed BLAIR-CG light engine in the STORM 80c represents the pinnacle of tunable color lighting in LED technology, offering an unparalleled range and exceptional color fidelity. It is capable of covering 90% of the Rec2020 color space, enabling the production of vibrant colors in hues that were previously difficult to achieve, including precise shades of yellow. Additionally, the calibrated indigo emitter improves the appearance of fluorescing materials, producing white light that aligns more closely with both natural daylight and tungsten illumination.

The BLAIR-CG light engine of the STORM 80c, which includes Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, Red, Cyan, and Green, provides superior tunable color illumination compared to any prior LED systems, encompassing over 90% of the Rec2020 color gamut. With the BLAIR-CG light engine, you can be assured that the visual output aligns accurately with the camera’s capture.

Next Generation Range

The BLAIR-CG light engine empowers the STORM 80c to attain an extensive correlated color temperature (CCT) range of 1,800K to 20,000K, complete with full +/- green adjustment capabilities. The STORM 80c stands out as the most compact and portable lighting solution in its class, providing an exceptional CCT range. Additionally, its color flexibility includes comprehensive 100% +/- green control, encompassing the entire ASC MITC adjustment range.

Small Size, Unlimited Possibilities

The STORM 80c is designed with a compact structure and a detachable yoke, allowing for convenient storage in various locations. When the yoke is removed, the light’s dimensions are a mere 6x4x4 and it weighs 1kg. The yoke features 3/8in threaded sockets for attachment, enabling the use of standard grip mounts to position the light as required.
