Description

The 3 x 4 T Series T1 IR Water White Glass Filter from Tiffen helps optimize high-performance digital cameras such as the ARRI Alexa and Sony EX Series, which have wide color gamuts and enhanced red response.

The T Series T1 IR filter eliminates the Far Red/Near Infrared contamination that can appear in photographs due to certain industrial dyes used in fabrics. With the T1 IR filter in place, you can capture subtle red hues, and the camera can deliver crisp blacks and wide color gamuts with minimal light loss of 1/2 stop.

The filter is manufactured using ColorCore technologyit is made from optically pure water white glass, and then is put through a lamination process that grinds and polishes both surfaces to achieve perfect parallelism, consistency, and worry-free handling. This filter is also included in the Far Red Control Kit (sold separately).

Note: The T1 IR filter contains no dichroic coating; therefore, it will not vignette green, magenta or cyan at wide angles. It can be stacked with Neutral Densities up to 0.9, but it is recommended to use the Tiffen Full Spectrum IRND filters when heavier densities are required.
