The compact professional PBH-635AC Dual Action Ball Head from Slik is an Arca-type compatible ball head designed for photographers on the go. It has a load capacity of 13.2 pounds and can support full-sized cameras and lenses. It features a slim profile and includes a universal Arca-type quick release platform, so it can be used with most compatible quick release plate, L-bracket, and more. The head includes a single U-notch for greater flexibility of camera position, allowing the camera to be positioned straight up or down to shoot both horizontal and vertical frames.

Solid and smooth

So far I am pleased with this ball head. As is typical with Slik tripods it is well-made but not over-made. Bought to replace the pan head on my trusty 20-year old Slik Able 300 DX tripod. Although a late comer to ball heads, I now find them more compact and simpler to use. As it is Arca compatible I can now use one plate for this and other tripods and monopods I own.
