The LeofotoTDC-25 Tripod Threaded Leg Collar with CF-9 is designed for 25mm tripod leg only. It comes with a 1/4″ and 3/8″ mounting holes that allow you attach devices on the tripod. The CF-9 can convert 3/8″ thread to 1/4″ mounting stud with a socket base to be attached.

Great for a Field Monitor on the Oben Lander AT-3565

This fits perfectly on both of the non-monopod legs of my compact Oben Lander AT-3565 5-Section Aluminum Travel Tripod System & TVH-108 Video Head tripod. Combined with a small ball head, this lets you mount your Atomos or field monitor directly to the tripod itself. The pegs on the easy-removal adapter go towards the ring and it holds firmly, yet still makes for rapid removal. Great!

I’m so glad this exists as adding super clamps and nano-clamps to tripod legs and stands is not exactly a low -profile (or necessarily cheaper) option to attach accessories. This is a quality product; very solid and well made! If you need to mount/attach an accessory to a tripod leg or stand, such as a battery charger, intervalometer, cellphone, microphone, LED light, magic arm, etc., this will keep it securely held. I got the 25mm collar to fit around one of the legs of my Manfrotto Befree GT Travel Carbon Fiber Tripod. It fits perfectly and is quite secure – there is absolutely no play or chance of this collar slipping once it is tightened around the properly corresponding sized diameter of a tripod leg or stand. My use is simple: I use it to attach a 4 rod to hold a DIY intervalometer pouch I made out of black duct tape, so I can run my nighttime time lapses without letting the intervalometer dangle. I leave the collar permanently attached to my tripod leg since it has a low profile and does not obstruct anything when folding up the tripod. I could also easily attach a cheese plate/bar and add multiple other accessories if necessary. One thing to keep in mind if you order one of these is that it takes a while to arrive. Mine took almost a month and half to get delivered. Even though it only performs a very simple function I love being able to securely attach multiple accessories with a low profile option. I’m definitely going to have to get a few more of these for my Matthews C-Stands (25mm -that’s roughly the diameter of the center pole). Highly recommended for folks who want a more discreet yet very secure mounting accessory.
