Film Devices MM-104-Q Overview
Fast to set up, lightweight, and easy to transport in a small bag, the Camera Quadra Leg Magnetic Mount from Film Devices is for horizontal mounting of cameras, rigs, or other devices weighing up to 18 lb. onto a metal surface, such as a car or other platform. The kit consists of four rubber-coated mounting disks that protect your mounting surface and measure roughly 3.6″ in diameter while attaching with approximately 60 lb of holding force each.
The included articulating arms allow you to precisely position the included hexagonal camera platform/cheese plate. Each mounting disk features one 3/8″-16 and two 5mm threaded mounting holes, while the hexagonal cheese plate provides 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting threads for your camera rig.
The magnetic mounting disks can be used individually to mount your device on a metal surface. The magnetic disks are coated in rubber to protect the surfaces they are mounted on. You can secure the disks to non-magnetic items, such as an automotive windshield, by sandwiching the material between two magnetic disks. Three 7″ articulating arms allow you to accurately position the disks. The three 3.6″ magnetic disks feature one 3/8″-16 threaded hole, as well as two 5mm threaded holes.
