The Zoom B1X Four Bass Multi-Effects Pedal is a versatile effects processor tailored for electric bass, featuring an expression pedal that allows for continuous control over specific effects. Designed in a user-friendly stompbox format, the B1X Four includes a broad array of effects, amplifier simulations, and additional functionalities, such as a 30-second looper and a chromatic tuner. With 68 integrated rhythm patterns, it enables the incorporation of drum loops, which can be particularly beneficial during looping.
The B1X Four offers a variety of effects including distortion and chorus, along with nine bass amplifier models that replicate classic combinations. Certain effects can be enhanced with an expression pedal, allowing for a smooth and gradual adjustment of the effect’s intensity. Additionally, the functionality of the pedal can be customized digitally via the display screen of the B1X Four.
It is possible to chain five effects in any sequence at any time. These effects can be stored in one of the 50 user-defined presets. You can swiftly switch between patches (or banks of patches) with a simple tap, allowing for effortless modifications to your live or studio sound. Additionally, you can adjust global settings to maintain a cohesive sound across patches. The three-knob tone stack and the overall output level knob remain unchanged as you navigate through your sound selections.
The pedal features over 70 distinct effects, and users have the capability to modify or incorporate additional effects via their computer. By connecting the pedal to a Mac or Windows device using a USB cable, effects can be added through Zoom’s Guitar Lab software.
The B1X Four is equipped with one 1/4″ instrument input, a 3.5mm input for mobile devices and media players, as well as a combined amp/headphone output. This device operates on four AA batteries, providing up to 18 hours of usage. Alternatively, it can be powered using a dedicated ZOOM AD-16 AC adapter or through USB.
